Measure bust, waist, and hip. Match centimetres on the table. Then check the brand's plus chart—US 18, 2X, and UK 22 are different label systems, not one law. On this reference table, US 18 ≈ bust 108 / waist 93 / hip 116 cm (UK 22 / EU 50).
Four steps
- Tape bust or chest at the fullest point, waist where you wear the waistband, hip at the fullest point. Keep the tape level.
- Match centimetres on the women’s or men’s table below. If you sit between rows, use the larger row for a closed garment.
- For pants, add inseam. For jeans, convert waist cm to a W×L label on the jeans chart—do not guess W from US 18.
- Open the brand plus chart (or Plus mode converter) and compare their centimetres. Buy from that chart, not from this page alone.
Women's plus reference (US 14–24)
Women’s plus on this ladder starts at US 14 (UK 18 / EU 46). One body table covers shirts, pants, and dresses: use bust for tops, waist and hip for bottoms, all three for dresses. UK/EU numbers are the matching cells on the same row.
This table is SizeFit's clothing-converter ladder (even US steps, 3 cm between rows in our data file). It keeps US, UK, and EU aligned. It is not ISO, ASTM, or a brand's plus line. Published brand plus rows are listed further down.

- Brand plus letters. Often near US 14–16 / 18–20 / 22–24, but not a guaranteed map.
- W×L on jeans
- Waist × inseam in inches. Convert from waist cm; do not treat US 18 as a W size. Jeans size chart
- 6XL–8XL
- Brand-only. We do not invent a US number for them.
- King size clothing
- In some UK shops, plus apparel—not a king blanket. Bed king sizes
- EU 38 / IT 42
- Standard (not plus) on our converter. EU 38 ≈ US 6; IT 42 is often treated like EU 42 ≈ US 10. EU to US clothing

How do I find my plus size clothing size?
Measure bust (or chest), waist, and hip in centimetres. Match those numbers on the women’s US 14+ table or the men’s letter table on this page. Then open the brand’s own plus chart before you buy—labels such as 1X and 18 are not interchangeable.
What is US size 18 in plus size clothing?
Women's US 18 ≈ UK 22 / EU 50: bust 108 cm, waist 93 cm, hip 116 cm (international reference—brands vary). That is our converter ladder, not a law. Many US tags put 18 near 2X—confirm the brand.
How do US numeric sizes compare to 1X and 2X?
A rough US retail habit is US 14–16 ≈ 1X and US 18–20 ≈ 2X. Brands disagree. Prefer centimetres and the brand plus chart.
Do shirts and pants use different plus charts on this page?
No. Tops, pants, and dresses share the same body measurements. Use bust for shirts, waist and hip plus inseam for pants, and all three for dresses. W×L jeans numbers are a different label system—see the jeans chart.
How do I convert UK size to EU clothing?
Stay on one row. Plus example: UK 22 ≈ EU 50 (US 18). Regular example: UK 12 ≈ EU 40. Do not add a fixed number.
Is EU 38 a plus size?
No. On our women’s converter table, EU 38 ≈ US 6. Plus on this page starts at US 14. A men’s “38” is often collar or chest inches, not EU 38.
What is 6XL or 8XL in plus size clothing?
There is no single US number for 6XL–8XL. Our men’s converter table stops at XXXL (about chest 116 cm / EU 56). Extra letters are brand-only—use that maker’s centimetre chart.
Is king size clothing the same as plus size?
In some UK shops, “king size clothing” means plus or extra-large clothes—not a king blanket. Size from US 14+ or men’s XXL+ here, then check the brand. Bed king sizes are on the blanket chart.
How do I find plus size clothing for men?
