How to measure hat size

One accurate head circumference (inches or cm) maps to fitted sizes like 7 1/4—about a minute of measuring.

1. Get a Soft Tape Measure

Wrap it around your head, about 1/8" above your ear.

2. Find the Circumference

Go across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head.

3. Read the Measurement

Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly. Use the measurement in inches or cm in our converter.
