Hat Size Charts
Select a chart to view detailed size conversions for a specific type of hat.
Different hat styles have unique structures. A structured cowboy hat fits differently than a flexible crochet beanie. That's why we provide specific charts to ensure you find the most accurate size for the hat you're looking for.

How to Use Hat Size Charts
Step 1: Measure Your Head
Use a soft measuring tape to measure the circumference of your head. Place the tape around your head, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) above your eyebrows and ears, where the hat will sit. Make sure the tape is level and snug but not tight.
Tip: If you don't have a measuring tape, use a string and then measure the string with a ruler.
Step 2: Choose the Right Chart
Different hat styles require different size charts. A fitted baseball cap needs precise sizing, while a stretchy beanie can accommodate a wider range. Select the chart that matches the type of hat you're shopping for.
Note: If you're unsure, start with the generic chart, which works for most standard hats.
Step 3: Find Your Size
Use your head circumference measurement to find your size in the chart. Most charts show sizes in both centimeters and inches, and may include US, UK, or EU sizing standards.
Remember: If your measurement falls between two sizes, size up for comfort, especially for rigid hats.
Step 4: Consider Hat Style
Different hat styles fit differently. Structured hats (like cowboy hats) require precise sizing, while flexible hats (like beanies) can stretch. Always check the specific chart for the hat style you're interested in.
Pro Tip: For adjustable hats (like snapbacks), you have more flexibility in sizing.
Understanding Different Hat Types
Fitted Baseball Caps
Fitted baseball caps have a rigid structure with no adjustable strap. These require precise sizing, as there's no room for adjustment. Our fitted baseball cap chart provides accurate size conversions for these structured hats.
Best for: Structured caps, professional sports caps, and hats with fixed sizing.
Cowboy Hats
Cowboy hats are typically made from rigid materials like felt or straw and require accurate sizing. These hats often come in specific sizes and may need professional fitting. Our cowboy hat chart helps you find the right size for Western-style hats.
Best for: Western-style hats, felt hats, and structured wide-brimmed hats.
Crochet & Knit Beanies
Crochet and knit beanies are flexible and can stretch to accommodate different head sizes. These hats are more forgiving in sizing, but our chart still helps you find the best fit for comfort and style.
Best for: Winter beanies, casual knit caps, and stretchy headwear.
Generic/Standard Hats
The generic hat size chart works for most standard hats that don't have specific sizing requirements. This chart provides a good starting point for general hat shopping and works well for most common hat styles.
Best for: General hat shopping, standard caps, and when you're unsure of the specific hat type.
