Why averages miss
- Ring finger vs index finger can differ by a half size or more.
- Left and right hands are often not the same.
- A wide wedding band feels tighter than a thin engagement band.
Same international scale as the men's chart—this view just keeps the sizes most women's rings use.

Both use this chart. If you are sizing a surprise ring, borrow a ring she already wears on that finger and measure inside diameter in mm—do not guess from shoe size.
Stacking a wedding band next to an engagement ring can feel tighter; some people go a quarter or half size up on the band only.
- Start from the average only if you cannot measure: US 6–7 is a common women's range. Use it for a first guess, not a final order.
- Measure the correct finger: Wrap a soft tape at the base of the finger that will wear the ring, or read the inner diameter of a ring that already fits it.
- Match mm on the chart: Find circumference or diameter in mm, then read US, UK, and EU on the same row.
- Allow for band width: Bands over about 6 mm often need a half size up. Recheck at room temperature.

Ruler in cm? 5.2 cm around is about US 6. Use Circumference (cm) in the converter.
Women's ring size FAQ
Rows map inside diameter and circumference in mm to US numbers, UK letters, and EU circumference labels. Jewelers can still round differently—confirm with a physical sizer.
